Some Positivity!

Does your brain start to believe the things you tell it, good or bad, positive or negative? It’s a real thing guys! You can tell yourself anything over and over and you will eventually start to believe it. It’s very easy to change this pattern of thinking, well I shouldn’t say easy, but every time you have a negative thought pop into your head, acknowledge that negative thought and simply replace it with a positive one. Easier said than done at times I know, but you if make this a constant practice you will see results in your mind and mental health quickly!  Say for example, "I am so fat." If you keep saying it, then you will believe it. Instead tell yourself I look great, I love my body, and I’m going to make healthier eating habits. Will this instantly change the way you look? NO, but it will change the way you view yourself and help you to get into a better mind space to be able to make better, healthier decisions rather than, “I’m fat either way.” Another example, saying "I’m starving" puts your mind into panic that you are actually starving, if you change what you say or think to, I am hungry because I failed to plan my meal properly and I will try to do better next time, this will keep your brain from panicking and give you time for preparing food without rage and eating crap. It’s all in your head. Your mind believes what you tell it! So don’t sit on your phone and compare yourself to others and think you aren’t as good. You are 100 percent as good, you can do anything you want to! If you want it, do it! You just have to tell your mind what you want and go after it, whatever IT is. Getting into a positive mind space will set you apart from many people. I have struggled with this my entire life. My mind instantly wants to go negative, however I can’t stand negativity! So I have had to rewire my thoughts to be positive and put those positive vibes out into the world. There are times where I could have gone down very dark paths of depression (not down playing depression it is 100 percent real!) but I do think a lot of it is mind set. Training your brain is as important as eating healthy, working out, having healthy relationships, going to work. It will drastically improve your mental state and help you to see the good in all things around you. When you want to tear someone down or pick them apart, maybe pick out a good quality or feature about them. When you are mad at your husband, remember a reason why you love them or think of something sweet they have done for you. When you are annoyed or disappointed in your child, remember holding them as a tiny baby and the immense love you still can’t describe. When you have road rage, take a deep breath and tell yourself it isn’t worth it and put on your favorite song. I'm telling you it’s all in YOUR MIND! It believes what you tell it, so be kind to it, love it, nurture it, and give it the good positive vibes you deserve! Stay positive and make those changes in your mind, you’ve got this!
