Hair Industry!

The hair industry when I started 15 years ago, I felt like I needed to be an salon owner so that people took me seriously. So I became a salon owner. It was an industry that I felt like I had to try to stand out and look “smart” because it was thought that hairdressers were “dumb." So I did all those things. I am here to say that I don’t care what anyone thinks about the hair world today, if they think I’m dumb, or if you think for one second you could live without a hair stylist in your life. After 15 years of not only making the world a more beautiful place, but being there emotionally for others is everything to me. Being in an industry that is constantly uplifted by one another and challenging each other to be a better you! Not only in practice, but in life. This world means everything to me and I feel so honored to stand with all the hairdressers out there and say we are actually really smart, we LOVE our jobs, and do a ton of math and science everyday! We are kind of nerdy in a way…we love black and have our own style, but more importantly we love deeply, want to make the world more beautiful inside and out, and are always a listening ear. It’s a hard job on your body, but it’s so rewarding and will bring you a family that you never knew you needed. Thanks to all you hairdressers out there who have mentored me, challenged me, taught me, trained me, and pushed me to be the best me I can be! I am forever grateful! Our industry rocks! We will stand strong together through this economic crisis and come out a powerful force!
