So I’m a Millennial!
So I’m a millennial, which means we do dumb shit! As I have gotten older I like to reflect back and thank the good Lord that I’m still standing! It’s crazy, my husband is a pilot and when he was training, yes, “training” to be a pilot, I would just tag along with him all the time while he was logging his hours. He would say, “Babe, wanna go to the beach tonight and have a nice dinner?” I would be all like, “He’s soooo romantic!” Not even thinking, does he even know how to fly this plane? Could we die? Does he know how to land this thing? What have I done? Nope, I would just blindly jump right in completely entrusting my entire life with him. Clearly he is an amazing pilot because I still stand here to talk of all my dumb adventures we took together where we could have legit DIED! He is a pilot for American Airlines now and I would seriously think twice before getting into a teenie tiny prop plane with him today! Just a side note to show that millennials are growing up and making wiser decisions. Never grow up, it’s a trap! But, then I think, where were my parents? I would NEVER let my son do that! They were just as blind as me like, "Aww he wants to take you to the beach for a nice dinner! So FUN, have a blast and don’t die! Love you! Let me know when you land alive! Oh, and bring me back a zoo zoo!" Yes, a zoo zoo, you ask what in the world is that? Well my family coined this term looooong along for all “bribe material” and also for anytime you travel. You stay with daddy, then mommy will bring you back a zoo zoo (meaning a super fun surprise, it could be anything a treat, a toy, candy, you name it). Thankfully my parents zoo zoo was never a piece of the plane that your daughter died in because you let her fly all over God’s green earth with a “pilot in training!” I mean I was 18, so like they could have really stopped me, but they could at least have tried. Nope, all of us including him blinded by how dangerous it was! He is also a millennial, so that’s to be expected. But my baby boomer parents? Nope just as blind! They say it’s the millennials……just saying we were raised by the boomers, so maybe it’s their faults??? You know us millennials like to put the blame on anyone but ourselves! Just saying!
